Deion Sanders: Florida State alums have tried to help Jameis Winston

After Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston's latest suspension for yelling a vulgar phrase — a punishment that increased from one half to the entire Clemson game when FSU decided they were not satisfied with his account of the incident — some have started to wonder if he's learned anything at all.
Now, one former FSU defensive back and NFL star wants people to know former Seminoles have tried to help.
Deion Sanders tweeted Saturday morning:
Please stop assuming many FSU alumist and formers players hadn't reached out to Winston. WE HAVE! Pray for him please. God bless. #Truth

Winston acknowledged Wednesday that he needs to "tone it down." Whether he does so after his latest off-field incident remains to be seen.
The top-ranked Seminoles will be without their Heisman-winning QB when they take on the No. 22 Tigers Saturday night. Backup Sean Maguire will fill in for Winston.
