Clay's picks: Key Mizzou win, Manziel TD tutorial headline Week 13
Last week was brutal.
There's no other way to say it.
The picks went 2-5 — including the worst beat of the season on Auburn's Hail Mary touchdown against Georgia.
This means that we now have a remarkable 37-37 record with this year's Outkick picks.
Completely even!
That only means one thing to me, we're going to finish strong.
Here we go, once more into the gambling breach.
Mississippi State at Arkansas +2.5
The saddest game of the SEC season is here.
And, guess what, the Razorbacks are finally going to get a conference win!
Yippee!
Indiana +35 at Ohio State
Unless they're playing Wisconsin, Indiana can score points.
Ohio State's defense isn't very good and Indiana's defense is awful.
I can legitimately see a 63-35 Ohio State win in this game.
So take Indiana and the over of 81.
Texas A&M +4.5 at LSU
The Heisman is Johnny Manziel's to win with two good performances on the road the next two weeks.
LSU's defense has been wobbly of late and Manziel is going to put up a ton of points. LSU will also score a ton against A&M's woeful defense.
So take the over here on 71 and A&M to cover.
Kentucky +24 at Georgia
Yes, the Wildcats are bad.
But they're not as bad as you think they are.
And they're actually getting quite a bit better as the season moves along.
Georgia's going to win, but Kentucky keeps this one relatively close for most of the game.
Vandy +3 at Tennessee
Vandy is the better team here and the Vols are favored because they are playing at home.
I just don't think the Vol secondary can cover the best player on the field, Vandy's Jordan Matthews.
As a result, I'm taking Vandy to win.
What's more, I think this is an ugly 17-13 type game filled with turnovers on both sides.
Take the under on 54 as well.
Mizzou -2.5 at Ole Miss
I've been a Mizzou believer all year long.
That doesn't stop on the road at Ole Miss.
Take the Tigers and the over on 58.
And here's Outkick's TV viewer guide for Saturday:
1. Start your Saturday off with my happy bearded face from 10-12 a.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
I'll also be on FOX Sports Live Thursday and Friday nights as well as analyzing games on FS1 all day Saturday.
With Outkick, a daily radio show, a Saturday national radio show with NBC, a weekly College Football Country show in which I interview country music stars about college football, FS1 TV, and a podcast, I'm legitimately everywhere.
2. Take the wife or girlfriend or kids out for a fun morning and just get back home by 3:30 Eastern.
That way you've built in an appropriate amount of relationship time and can spend the rest of the day on the couch watching the good games.
3. Texas A&M at LSU, CBS 3:30 p.m. ET
Johnny Manziel is undefeated in his career on the road.
Can he keep it up at LSU?
I can't wait to find out.
4. Arizona State at UCLA, FOX, 7 p.m. ET
The Pac 12 South title could be up for grabs in what figures to be one of the most entertaining games of the day.
UCLA's Myles Jack is one of the best stories of the college football season.
So if you haven't watched either of these teams play yet, find the time and add it to your remote control surfing list. It's going to be a very good one.
5. Vandy at Tennessee, ESPN2, 7 p.m. ET
This is going to be a very ugly game, but I think it will be intense as hell.
Vandy's trying to beat Tennessee for the second straight year -- something that hasn't happened since 1925-26 — and Tennessee is trying to keep bowl hopes alive.
The weather could be iffy as well.
What a beautiful mess.
6. Mizzou at Ole Miss, ESPN, 7:45 p.m. ET
Lots of points are coming in this one.
In fact, I think this game will be eerily similar to the A&M-Ole Miss game from earlier this season.
Can Mizzou keep its SEC East dreams alive, or will they collapse in Oxford, like so many livers before them?
7. Baylor at Oklahoma State, ABC, 8 p.m. ET
The last true obstacle to Baylor's undefeated season is this road game in Stillwater.
Will Baylor finally sputter or is it time to start thinking about the Bears in the BCS title game?
