Bell has 345 total yards as NC Central beats Howard 30-21

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) Malcolm Bell threw for 223 yards, rushed for another 122 and accounted for three touchdowns as North Carolina Central defeated Howard 30-21 on Saturday.
Bell has thrown for 5,916 yards in his career, moving him to second on the Eagles career passing yards list.
North Carolina Central (8-2, 7-0 MEAC) held a slim 9-7 lead at the half, but Bell hit David Miller on a 7-yard scoring play in the third and ran it in from the 8 in the fourth to build a 23-7 advantage.
Kalen Johnson hit Guy Lemonier Jr on a 10-yard scoring strike to close to 23-15 with 5:25 left in the fourth, but Bell answered with a 44-yard touchdown run to go up 30-15 with 3:01 left in the game.
The Eagles will face North Carolina A&T next week in a showdown of unbeaten conference teams.
Anthony Philyaw had 139 yards for Howard (1-9, 1-6).
