As three unbeatens fall, four left in FCS

(STATS) - It's great to be unbeaten … or not.
Three of the seven unbeaten teams in the FCS suffered their first losses on Saturday.
One was guaranteed to fall in the Ivy League, where surprising Columbia (6-0) defeated previously unbeaten Dartmouth (5-1), using two goal-line stands to win 22-17. The Lions clinched their first winning record since 1996.
Also losing were No. 4 South Dakota (6-1), which lost to No. 24 Illinois State 37-21 in the Missouri Valley Football Conference, and No. 5 Wofford (6-1), which fell to No. 16 Samford 24-21 in the Southern Conference.
Like Columbia, top-ranked James Madison (7-0), No. 2 North Dakota State (7-0) and No. 12 North Carolina A&T (8-0) posted victories to keep their records unblemished. N.C. A&T will have a bye next week.
