WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) Army has changed several of its game dates for the 2017 season.
The Black Knights will open with a Friday night game at Michie Stadium on Sept. 1 against Fordham, while the game at Tulane, originally slated for Sept. 2, was moved to Sept. 23 in New Orleans.
The game at Rice on Sept. 23 has been pushed to Oct. 7, and the home game against Texas-El Paso is now on Sept. 30. The home game against Duke now fills the Nov. 11 slot that Fordham was originally slated for.
Army athletic director Boo Corrigan said the first schedule was too unbalanced and apologized for inconvenience to alumni and fans.
