Another Penn State standout headed to Senior Bowl

Austin Johnson announced Saturday he is skipping his final season of eligibility at Penn State. 

Thursday, the Senior Bowl announced the Nittany Lions defensive lineman will head to Mobile, Ala., to take part in the annual showcase for potential pros. 

The 6-4, 323-pound Johnson was a second-team All-Big Ten pick this season after totaling 78 tackles, including 15 for loss and 6.5 sacks.

According to Penn State, Johnson's tackles total was third in the nation as his position. 

Defensive lineman Carl Nassib and safety Jordan Lucas were previously announced as Penn State participants in the Senior Bowl.
