Alabama fall camp: Here's your first look at Jacob Coker, Tide fans

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 11:40 p.m. ET

Today is a great day in Alabama, as both the Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers open fall camp.

It's a particularly interesting day for Bama fans, because they get their first look at Jacob Coker, the Florida State transfer who most presume will replace AJ McCarron at quarterback this fall.

Head coach Nick Saban won't go that far, saying at SEC Media Days in July that the QB competition is open and Coker hasn't won the starting job.

But the presence of Blake Sims and Cooper Bateman in the QB race hasn't prevented the excitement surrounding the arrival of Coker in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama is holding two practices on Friday -- a morning session for the veterans and an evening session for the newcomers.
