Webb, Duncan help Boise State roll over San Jose State 94-69

BOISE, Idaho (AP) Nick Duncan made six 3-pointers in the first half and scored 24 points, James Webb III added 24 points and 18 rebounds and Boise State rolled past San Jose State 94-69 on Wednesday night.

Duncan made five of his first six attempts from beyond the arc and had 20 points at halftime, and the Broncos (14-5, 5-1 Mountain West) led 45-32.

Webb's rebounding total was a career best and it was his ninth double-double of the season for Boise State, which bounced back from a loss at home to San Diego State on Saturday.

San Jose State (6-13, 1-6) had eight of its 15 turnovers in the first half and trailed 11-0. The Spartans never got closer than six points, the latest coming at 47-41 with 16:31 left after a 9-0 run.

Ryan Welage led San Jose State with 19 points, while Brandon Clarke had 13 points and 11 rebounds.

San Jose State, which entered the game leading the Mountain West in assists at 15.9 per game, managed 13 assists. . Clarke, a freshman, has had double-doubles in back-to-back games. . Spartans coach Dave Wojcik spent three seasons as an assistant at Boise State under Leon Rice. . San Jose State fell to 2-27 lifetime against Boise State and never has won in Boise.

Boise State guard Mikey Thompson is inching closer to becoming the 26th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point mark. Thompson now has 973 career points after scoring 16 Wednesday.
