Washington, Wright lead Louisiana-Lafayette past Pepperdine (Dec 20, 2016)

LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) Bryce Washington scored 19 points with 10 rebounds and Jay Wright scored 18 as hot-shooting Louisiana Lafayette defeated Pepperdine 90-64 on Tuesday night.
The Ragin' Cajuns shot 56 percent from the floor (38-68), including eight 3-pointers, and added 12 steals and four blocked shots to the mix as Pepperdine committed 24 turnovers.
Freshman Jerekius Davis scored a career-best 13 points for Louisiana-Lafayette (10-3) and P.J. Hardy added 12. The double-double was Washington's sixth this season and third in four games.
Chris Reyes scored 14 points with eight rebounds to lead Pepperdine (4-7), which is on a road swing through Louisiana and Montana having lost two starters to injury.
Washington was 9 of 12 from the field while Wright shot 9-for-11. The Ragin' Cajuns led for all but 1:06 and were up 41-26 at the half.
The win marks the first time since the 1990-91 season that Louisiana-Lafayette has recorded 10 wins before the start of Sun Belt Conference play.
