UT Martin edges Murray State 63-59

MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) Alex Anderson scored 20 points and Twymond Howard had 19 as Tennessee-Martin edged Murray State 63-59 on Saturday, snapping a four-game slide.

Kedar Edwards added 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Skyhawks (11-12, 3-5 Ohio Valley Conference) who shot 51.2 percent from the field and 84.2 percent (16-for-19) from the line.

Murray State's Jeffery Moss sank four 3-pointers in the first half to help the Racers (11-11, 5-4) to a 30-27 edge at the break.

Howard scored eight points as part of a 16-7 run to start the second half that put UT Martin on top 43-37 with 12:16 to play. The Skyhawks led the rest of the way and held Murray State to just two buckets during the final five minutes.

Moss led the Racers with 22 points and eight rebounds.
