CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) North Carolina point guard Joel Berry II has a foot injury he suffered in Monday's loss to Villanova in the NCAA championship game.
Berry was on crutches with his left foot in a protective boot due to an injury when the team returned to campus on Tuesday. Team spokesman Steve Kirschner says Berry woke up in pain Tuesday morning with what is believed to be a sprained foot, and will undergo further evaluation.
The sophomore scored 15 of his 20 points in the first half and played 37 minutes in the 77-74 loss to the Wildcats in Houston.
