Raphiael Putney and Chaz Williams had 18 points apiece, leading five double-figure scorers for Massachusetts in a 97-65 rout of Central Connecticut State on Friday night.

Freddie Riley added 14 points, Cady Lalanne 12 and Terrell Vinson 10 for the Minutemen (11-3). UMass has now won a season-high five straight games since an 83-75 loss to Miami on Dec. 3.

The Minutemen cruised the entire way, putting together a 16-4 run out of the starting gate and taking a 47-32 lead at the break. UMass outscored the Blue Devils 50-33 in the second to ease to victory.

UMass shot 54.3 percent from the floor (38 of 70), including a 41.4 mark from 3-point range (12 of 29). The Blue Devils managed just 34.9 percent overall (22 of 63), with a dismal 6.7 mark from long range (1 of 15).

Robby Ptacek had a game-high 21 points to lead CCSU (5-7).
