CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) P.J. Horgan scored 23 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, including five on the offensive end, to lead The Citadel to an 81-50 over Bob Jones University on Saturday night.
Marshall Harris III added 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including four 3-pointers for the Bulldogs (2-2), while Ashton Moore finished with 16 more points.
Defensively, The Citadel forced Bob Jones into 21 turnovers, held the Bruins to 40 percent shooting from the field, and won the rebounding battle 34-26.
Kyle Turner had 16 points to lead Bob Jones, and Marshall Riddle had 15.
The Bruins kept the game close in the first half, trailing by just 41-34 at halftime. However a 22-8 scoring stretch to start the second half pushed the lead to 19 and put the game out reach.
