Robert Covington scored 22 points and Tennessee State overcame a 12-point deficit, then pulled away from Eastern Kentucky in the final minute of a 91-85 double-overtime win Saturday night.

The Tigers (13-10, 6-4 Ohio Valley Conference) never trailed in either overtime, but the Colonels, led by Mike DiNunno with a career-high 33 points and Jaron Jones tying his career-high with 30, kept knotting the score.

Tied for the 16th time in the game at 85-85 in the second extra period, M.J. Rhett scored on a layup with 52 seconds left, then Patrick Miller hit two free throws. Covington made two foul shots with 10 seconds left to seal it.
