Strong second half helps Chattanooga cruise over Kennesaw St

KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) Greg Pryor scored 21 points to lead six players in double figures and Chattanooga cruised to an 88-71 win over Kennesaw State on Saturday.

Johnathan Burroughs-Cook and Tre' McLean each finished with 14 points, Justin Tuoyo had 13, and Casey Jones and Makinde London each added 10 for the Mocs (4-2). Overall Chattanooga hit 58.8 percent of its shots and was 22 of 30 at the line.

Kendrick Ray led all scorers with 24 for Kennesaw State (2-4). Aubrey Williams added 14.

The Mocs led by just three, 40-37, at the half but pulled away in the second. London drilled a 3 early to spark a 9-0 Mocs run which gave them a 51-41 lead. A Burroughs-Cook layup extended Chattanooga's lead to 15 and a Rodney Chapman layup in the final minute made it 88-67, the Mocs largest of the game.
