Roosevelt Jones will play vs. Villanova, says Chris Holtmann

Butler received some good news in preparation for its pivotal Big East game against Villanova.
Butler head coach Chris Holtmann told reporters that senior wing Roosevelt Jones would play on Sunday night against the Wildcats, according to David Woods of the Indy Star. Jones was initially ruled as questionable with a left wrist injury. That was the same wrist that forced him to miss the entire 2013-14 season.
On the season, Jones is averaging 14.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game. He is also one of the league's most versatile defenders, something that will come in handy on Sunday against the dynamic Villanova perimeter, anchored by Ryan Arcidiacono and Josh Hart.
Butler, a team that had cracked the top-10 several weeks ago, is currently 1-2 in conference after opening Big East play with back-to-back losses to Providence and Xavier.
The Bulldogs host Villanova for a 7:30 p.m. EST tip on FS1.
