Garrett Sim and E.J. Singler scored 13 points each and Oregon overcame horrid shooting to defeat North Carolina Central 58-45 on Tuesday night in the Global Sports Hoops Showcase.
Devoe Joseph scored 10 points and Olu Ashaolu had nine rebounds for the Ducks (7-3), who made just six of their first 30 shots.
That included 20 percent (5 of 25) in the first half - the Ducks' worst of the season - though they still led 21-18 at the break.
Tied 28-28, Joseph hit a 3-pointer to spark the Ducks on a 19-3 run to make it 47-31 with 6:42 left. Oregon was 7 of 11 during that stretch and finished 16 for 49 (33 percent).
Ray Willis had 11 points and Jeremy Ingram 10 for the Eagles (5-6), who were held nearly 38 points below their 83.1 average. They shot just 30 percent (18 of 61).
