Ryan Woods scored 19 points, going 5 of 8 from 3-point range, in 18 minutes to help New Jersey Institute of Technology defeat SUNY Cobleskill 95-57 on Saturday.

Chris Flores added 14 points and Sammy Schickel had 12, going 4 of 6 from long range as 13 of the 14 Highlanders (7-8) that played scored.

After SUNY Cobleskill (1-12) opened with a 7-6 lead, NJIT pulled away on a 16-2 run, capped by Schickel's 3 with 13:14 left.

The Highlanders shot 57.7 percent from 3-point range (15 of 26) and scored 21 points off 13 turnovers.

NJIT outscored the Division III Fighting Tigers 21-12 in the paint, 46-2 off the bench, 14-4 on second chances and outrebounded them 45-22. The Highlanders led by as many as 42 points late.

SUNY Cobleskill was led by Tarik Payton with 19 points, Clint Foster with 16 and Brendan Doherty with 14.
