New Orleans holds on to beat Northwestern State 102-99

NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) Kevin Hill scored four of his nine points in the final two minutes to help New Orleans hold on and beat Northwestern State 102-99 on Saturday to snap a three-game skid.

Erik Thomas had 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead New Orleans (9-15, 5-8 Southland Conference). Travin Thibodeaux added 17 points and Nate Frye, Christavious Gill and Cameron Reed chipped in 14 apiece.

With the game tied at 96 with two minutes left, Hill made a layup and a pair of free throws and the Privateers led 100-97. Bailey Walker answered with a layup to pull the Demons to 100-99 with 42 seconds left. Thomas added a pair of free throws, and the Demons' Sabri Thompson missed a 3-point attempt at the buzzer to end it.

Zeek Woodley scored 28 points to lead Northwestern State (7-17, 4-10). Ishmael Lane added 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
