NC Central cruises over Savannah State 61-44

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) Jeremiah Ingram had 15 points and a career-high 15 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season and North Carolina Central beat Savannah State 61-44 on Monday night.

Patrick Cole had 16 points and nine rebounds for the Eagles (12-17, 7-8 MEAC). Dante Holmes hit three 3-pointers and finished with 15 points.

Troyce Manassa scored 10 points to lead Savannah State (13-14, 8-7). Manassa made just one field goal, but hit 8 of 10 at the line.

The Eagles held Savannah State to just 30 percent shooting and 11 first-half points.

NC Central had a 12-2 run in the first half and led 26-11 at the break. A Khalen Pinkett layup for the Tigers cut it to 38-28 midway through the second, but a 7-2 stretch for the Eagles quickly pushed their advantage back to 15.
