Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon will have to tinker with his rotation a week before the season starts, as the team announced on Saturday that sophomore guard Dion Wiley suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee.

The injury will keep him sidelined for up to six weeks.

As a freshman, the 6-foot-4 Wiley averaged 4.1 points and 1.5 rebounds in 13.5 minutes per game.

During Friday night's preseason win over Division II Southern New Hampshire University, sophomore guard Jared Nickens started alongside Melo Trimble in the Maryland backcourt. The Terrapins also add Duke transfer Rasheed Sulaimon, who is expecting to have a major impact once he gets acclimated with his new team.

Maryland, ranked third in the preseason AP poll, opens the season on Nov. 13 against Mount St. Mary's. The Terrapins have a marquee non-conference contest four days later, as they host Georgetown.
