George Beamon, who came in leading Manhattan in scoring, had 22 points to lead the Jaspers again, this time in a 68-42 win over St. Peter's on Sunday.

Beamon, averaging 15.3 per game, was the only Manhattan (5-4, 2-0 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) player in double figures.

The junior guard was also 2 of 4 from long range, tallied four steals and a block for Manhattan. Beamon was a perfect 6 of 6 from the line for the Jaspers, who shot 66.7 percent (16 of 24) from the charity stripe compared to just a 58.3 mark (14 of 24) for the Peacocks. Manhattan came in leading the MAAC in foul shooting (73.6 percent).

The teams traded leads early in the first half until, down 12-11, Beamon's jumper sparked a 10-0 run and Manhattan led the rest of the way.
