Fresno State blunts Wyoming comeback in 79-75 victory

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) Marvelle Harris scored 25 points and Cullen Russo added 17 points and 10 rebounds as Fresno State held off Wyoming's comeback attempt 79-75 Wednesday night.
The Fresno State (17-9, 8-5) win was the first road victory by any Mountain West Conference team in the month of February.
Harris hit a 3, and Julien Lewis made a pair of free throws to give the Bulldogs a 57-39 lead with 12:39 remaining. But Wyoming responded by outscoring Fresno State 28-11 in more than 10 minutes, and Josh Adam's dunk with 1:57 to go left the Bulldogs clinging to a one-point lead at 68-67.
Jahmel Taylor responded with a 3, Russo made 1 of 2 free throws, Taylor made two free throws and Russo's dunk with 28 seconds left sealed the game. During that stretch, Wyoming (12-15, 5-9) missed three 3-point attempts.
Jason McManamen scored a career-high 28 points on 10-for-17 shooting (8 for 15 from distance).
