Delaware State over Maryland-Eastern Shore 84-71

DOVER, Del. (AP) Casey Walker came off the bench to score 26 points to help give Delaware State an 84-71 victory over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday.

TyShawn Bell had 16 points and six rebounds for the Hornets (8-18, 4-9 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Kendall Gray added 15 points and Kendal Williams had 10.

Delaware State led by a slim margin through much of the first period and Walker hit a 3 at the buzzer to give the Hornets a 39-36 edge at halftime.

The Hornets opened a 14-point gap in the second half with the help of a trio of 3-pointers - two by Walker and one by Bell - within two minutes to lead 60-46 with 9:18 left. The Shore Hawks (4-12, 2-10) never recovered.

Troy Snyder scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Shore Hawks who remain in last place in the MEAC.
