LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) Rashun Davis drove on his defender at the top of the key, and then pulled up to launch the game-winning basket with five seconds remaining as Radford edged Liberty 69-67 Thursday night, denying the Flames an eighth straight win.

After calling a timeout with 2.6 seconds showing on the clock, Liberty had one chance to tie, but Evan Maxwell's layup rimmed out as time expired.

The big bucket for Davis, who finished with 16 points, was his fourth game-winner of the season. Cameron Jones led with 19 points for Radford (15-12, 8-7 Big South).

Streaking Liberty (12-16, 9-6) was seeking an eight-game win streak, which would have been a first in Big South play for the Flames, and the first for the program since the 1992-93 season.
