Boston University upends Navy 83-72
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) John Papale scored 18 points and Kyle Foreman 17, and Boston University beat Navy 83-72 on Wednesday night.
Eric Fanning added 15 points for the Terriers (13-11, 6-5), who have won three straight and avenged an 83-76 loss at home to Navy on Jan. 6. Blaise Mbargorba blocked five shots.
BU's shooting - 58 percent, including 9 of 15 from the arc - and 39-26 rebounding advantage, led by Nathan Dieudonne with 14, helped offset 19 turnovers.
BU made 24 of 34 free throws to Navy's 12 of 20.
Jace Hogan scored a career-high 22 points to lead the Midshipmen (16-8, 7-4), who hit just 2 of 16 3-point attempts and shot 45 percent overall. Tilman Dunbar scored 20 points with Will Kelly adding 10 points and eight rebounds.
Navy remained in second place a game behind Bucknell, which lost to American on Wednesday.
