Baldwin powers UNC-Greensboro over Wofford 65-61

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) Diante Baldwin had 21 points and nine rebounds and UNC-Greensboro overcame an eight-point halftime deficit to beat Wofford 65-61 on Monday night.

The Spartans (10-17, 6-8 Southern Conference) took control late with a 10-2 run to lead 58-51 on Francis Alonso's 3-pointer with 2:44 left. The Terriers (14-14, 10-5) failed to get the margin closer than four from there, ending their four-game winning streak.

Baldwin scored eight while UNC-Greensboro opened the second half with a 15-2 run, turning a 32-24 deficit into a 39-34 lead.

Wofford took the lead back briefly at 49-48 on C.J. Neumann's jumper with 5:51 left. Kayel Locke's 3-point play less than a minute later gave UNCG the lead for good.

Alonso had 13 points for the Spartans. Marvin Smith added 12 points and nine rebounds and Locke scored 11.

Fletcher Magee led Wofford with 16 points. Neumann and Jaylen Allen had 10 points each.
