Jacob Iati scored eight of his 13 points in a span of 1 minute, 48 seconds in the second half and Albany went on to defeat crosstown rival Siena 69-56 in a nonconference game Saturday night.

Iati's two 3-pointers and a layup gave the Great Danes (6-2) a 46-36 lead with 14 minutes left and the Saints (2-6) got no closer than seven points the rest of the way.

Rob Poole did his best to keep Siena in the game, scoring 17 of his 19 points in the second half, including the Saints' first eight after intermission.

Albany scored 11 of the final 13 points in the first half to take a 30-24 lead.

Mike Black also scored 13 points for the Great Danes but made just 3 of 15 shots.

O.D. Anosike had eight points and seven boards for Siena, his first game this season without a double-double.
