Impact Wissa dealt with a knee injury at the start of last season that delayed his Newcastle debut until December, finishing his debut campaign with just one goal across 19 Premier League appearances following his move from Brentford. He however had a strong World Cup, scoring three goals in four appearances for DR Congo and this early preseason brace is an encouraging sign, and he could hold a bigger role under new coach Matthias Jaissle as Newcastle looks to build a fuller campaign around him this season.
