Impact Noonan said Asad didn't suffer the injury in the first half of Friday's game against Santos Laguna but rather in the second half following a completely different play. The winger won't play in the remainder of the Leagues Cup, regardless of how far Cincinnati can advance, and his status seems to be in jeopardy for the rest of the 2024 MLS season as well, depending on his recovery process.

It remains to be seen when he might be available, however, as he was a free agent and needs to ramp up from a physical perspective.
