Shines in playmaking role
Ndidi recorded five assists, 85 tackles, 17 chances created and 74 clearances in 28 starts during the Premier League season.
Impact
Ndidi is known for being a defensive-minded presence in midfield, but he thrived as a playmaker for a struggling Leicester side in 2024/25 and matched the career-high five assists he posted in the 2023/24 Championship season despite logging four fewer appearances. Ndidi should generate tons of interest to remain in the Premier League for the 2025/26 season, but until a deal in agreed with another team, the Nigeria international figures to be a key piece in midfield for the Foxes in their return to the Championship.

Assists in victory
Ndidi assisted once to go with zero corners and one chance created in Sunday's 2-0 win versus Ipswich Town.
Impact
Ndidi's one-touch passing setup Leicester City's second goal as they eased past Ipswich Town in a 2-0 victory. The assist marked the holding-midfielder's first Premier League goal contribution since September. In addition to his attacking efforts, Ndidi, more characteristically, contributed four tackles (one won), two interceptions and two clearances to the team's clean sheet effort. After missing 10 matches due to a hamstring injury, Ndidi has now started in 13 consecutive league matches for the Foxes.

Works hard in defense
Ndidi recorded one cross (zero accurate) and one chance created in Monday's 3-0 loss against Newcastle United. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 14th minute.
Impact
Ndidi was not able to spark much attacking threat for Leicester against Newcastle, but he did put in a solid defensive shift. In 90 minutes played, the midfielder won both of his tackles, made three interceptions, and ten recoveries. His efforts were not enough to prevent a 3-0 defeat, but Ndidi remains a key cog in Leicester's midfield.

Lone attacking bright spot
Ndidi registered three shots (one on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Thursday's 2-0 loss versus West Ham United.
Impact
Despite being a defensive midfielder, Ndidi was Leicester City's best attacking threat in their 2-0 loss to West Ham. In 90 minutes, he won the most duels in the match with three, completed his only dribble attempt, put one of his four shots on target, and made three passes into the final third. Ndidi has four assists in 18 Premier League starts this season, but has not registered a goal contribution since September 28. He will look to get back on track on March 9 against Chelsea.

Strong performance in loss
Ndidi generated three shots (one on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Thursday's 2-0 loss to West Ham United.
Impact
Ndidi played a stellar match Thursday despite the loss. The 28-year-old midfielder was all over the pitch, attempting three tackles (one successful), winning 12 duels and six aerial battles, while making two interceptions and clearing the ball three times. Ndidi is goalless on the year thus far, but has bagged four assists, proving he is not just a threat on the defensive end.

Impact
Ndidi will need another week but has at least received a positive update, as he is training with the team in parts again. This leaves him in a spot to train fully next week, hopefully leaving him as an option to play as well. That said, he won't be an option to face Everton but could be fit on Feb. 15 when playing Arsenal.

Impact
Ndidi has made progress in his rehabilitation and could return to team training next week. This is positive news for the team as he is a key starter when fully fit in defensive midfield. This season, he has contributed four assists, 48 tackles, and 43 clearances in 15 appearances. Harry Winks has been filling in for him in the starting XI during his absence.

Impact
Ndidi is heading to the injury list for the time being, as he will likely miss the rest of 2024 due to a hamstring issue. This is a tough loss for the club, as he is a regular starter when fit, having yet to miss a start this season. That said, this will force a change, with Olivier Skipp likely to take his spot.

Impact
Ndidi was unable to finish off Sunday after picking up a hamstring strain against Brighton. He has been able to start all 15 league matches for the foxes, leading the team in assists with four while also being among the PL leaders in that category. The midfielder is also averaging about 3.5 tackles per 90 minutes, just five away from the league league with 48.

Impact
Nidid picked up his fourth assist in four games as he helped his side come back into the game. Unfortunately, the ball deflected off him for Arsneal's third goal of the game and it was credited as an own goal for the midfielder. His new midfield role has freed Ndidi in space behind the main attacking line and has already seen him match his best EPL season for assist returns. Only Bukayo Saka has more assists in the whole league.

Assists two goals in 2-2 draw
Ndidi assisted twice to go with zero corners and four chances created in Saturday's 2-2 draw versus Crystal Palace. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 52nd minute.
Impact
Ndidi assisted both goals for Leicester as they drew 2-2. This makes it three assists in two games, only two short of his total in last season's Championship run. With four, no player on the pitch created more chances than the midfielder. To set up the opening goal, he won the ball high up the pitch and played through Jamie Vardy to take it around the keeper. The second goal came when Ndidi took the ball after a heavy touch from the defender, following a cross into the box.

Bags assist
Ndidi reregistered one assist on one chance created to go along with four crosses in Saturday's 2-1 loss.
Impact
Ndidi found his first goal contribution of the season Saturday, finding Facundo Buonanotte in the 73rd minute for the club's only goal of the match. He also saw some work on the defensive side of the ball, notching two tackles and one interception. He has yet to miss a start in the club's three matches this campaign.

Impact
Ndidi was instrumental in Leicester City's promotion back to the Premier League. He started 26 of 32 appearances in the EFL, scoring four goals with five assists. He also had 37 tackles (25 won), 35 clearances, and 27 interceptions. The midfielder has been with the team since the 2016/17 season, making him one of the longest-tenured players on the squad.

Misses crucial season finale
Ndidi (hamstring) finished the 2022-23 campaign on the shelf, missing the season finale versus West Ham United.
Impact
Ndidi ends the season having started 19 of his 27 appearances in which he recorded 61 tackles, 42 clearances and 37 interceptions. With the midfielder entering the final year of his contract, he could be a target for other clubs following Leicester's relegation to the Championship.

Impact
The fact that Ndidi hasn't trained with the squad doesn't bode well for a potential return versus the Hammers. If the midfielder does miss out Sunday, his spot in the starting XI could go to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (ankle). Ndidi is under contract heading into the 2023-24 campaign but could have some suitors if Leicester City is relegated.

Picks up knock
Ndidi (undisclosed) came off with an apparent knock during the second half of Monday's scoreless draw with Newcastle.
Impact
Ndidi limped off during the closing stages of Monday's draw. The midfielder is a crucial part of the starting XI and would likely be played against West Ham on Sunday if at all possible. Ndidi has made 27 appearances (19 starts) earning no goal contributions and creating just three chances.

ROTOWIRE
Busy defensively
Ndidi recorded eight tackles (five won) and two interceptions in Monday's 3-0 defeat versus Liverpool.
Impact
Ndidi had plenty to do behind the ball during Monday's one-sided loss, though despite his best efforts he failed to stem the goal-scoring tide. The midfielder has now gone nearly two full seasons without a Premier League goal-contribution, and has been held to just three chances created in 2022/23. Ndidi will need to be at his best in the final two matches as Leicester fight a narrow relegation battle.

Impact
Ndidi had a great defensive performance during the game, but couldn't help them avoid the comeback loss on the road. The midfielder led his side in both clearances and interceptions. He received his fourth yellow card in the season as well, and will need to be extra careful now.

Defends well in draw
Ndidi made four clearances, three interceptions and won two of two tackles in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Brentford.
Impact
Ndidi made just his second Premier League start since mid-January on Saturday, as he's suffered through a few injuries this season and hasn't been an automatic starter even when healthy. But he played well from defensive midfield to help earn a result against Brentford on Saturday.
