Guilherme's stoppage-time goal helps Dynamo snap Whitecaps' 7-game unbeaten streak

Guilherme Santos — known simply as “Guilherme” — scored a goal in the sixth minute of stoppage time, Jonathan Bond had three saves, and the Houston Dynamo beat Vancouver 1-0 to sna...

Oliver Larraz - Suffers hip knock Larraz (hip) was forced off during Saturday's 1-0 loss to Houston Dynamo after taking a hit to the hip that significantly limited his movement, according to coach Jesper Sorensen,...
Impact Larraz's status for the upcoming fixture remains uncertain, with the club giving themselves the week to assess how the hip responds before making any final decisions. Larraz has mainly been a bench option for the Whitecaps this season, therefore if he has to miss some time to recover, his absence is unlikely to affect much the starting XI.

Oliver Larraz - Forced off Saturday Larraz left Saturday's 1-0 loss to Houston Dynamo with an apparent injury.
Impact Larraz struggled to walk off the field after a poor 40-minute outing against Houston. It was a rare start for the midfielder, who was replaced by the regular first option Andres Cubas. While the issue could leave Larraz out of the final game before the World Cup break against San Diego, his status remains unclear, and he may return to a bench spot even if he's fit.
MAY 16 • ROTOWIRE
Yohei Takaoka - Shown red card against Houston Takaoka made three saves but earned a red card during the 64th minute of Saturday's 1-0 loss to Houston Dynamo.
Impact Takaoka was sent off after committing a foul just outside his penalty area, leaving his team at a disadvantage for the rest of the match. He'll miss the next visit to San Diego through suspension, with Isaac Boehmer available to fill the void in the starting lineup. Once he has served his ban, Takaoka should regain his spot for a week 16 clash against Chicago Fire.
MAY 16 • ROTOWIRE
Bruno Caicedo - On bench Saturday Caicedo (hamstring) is on the bench for Saturday's clash against Houston Dynamo.
Impact Caicedo could play again despite being questionable for this match. However, his upside will be limited unless he's subbed on early enough to make an impact. In any case, he's a viable option to replace Kenji Cabrera on the left wing while also competing with Cheikh Tidiane Sabaly. Caicedo has been in and out of the lineup this year, contributing one goal and two assists over seven MLS outings so far.
MAY 16 • ROTOWIRE
Andres Cubas - Bench option against Austin Cubas (knee) is on the bench for Saturday's visit to Austin.
Impact Cubas has avoided a serious problem from the issue that put his participation in doubt ahead of the weekend clash. This is great news for both the Whitecaps and the Paraguayan national team with the World Cup kickoff a few weeks away. The central man may see his playing time managed for a short period before ousting Oliver Larraz from a holding midfield spot.

Emmanuel Sabbi - Questionable with groin concern Sabbi is listed as questionable for Saturday's match against Houston due to a groin injury, per the MLS Player Status Report.
Impact Sabbi is a new addition to Vancouver's report this matchday with a groin issue that has him uncertain for Saturday. He's been a direct and pacy wide attacker who carries genuine fantasy value in the right matchup, so his questionable status is meaningful for those who have him rostered. Groin issues can tighten significantly on gameday, making him a true game-time decision, with Thomas Muller a possible option to join the starting XI in his place.

Bruno Caicedo - Questionable with Hamstring Caicedo (hamstring) is questionable for Saturday's match against Houston, according to the MLS injury report.
Impact Caicedo is heading towards a possible absence, as the attacker is dealing with a hamstring injury. Luckily for the club, this would be a minor absence, as he didn't start in their last contest. That said, he has only started in two of his seven appearances, likely to earn a bench role either way.

Cheikh Sabaly - Assists in 3-2 win Sabaly assisted once to go with zero corners and one chance created in Wednesday's 3-2 win over FC Dallas. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 53rd minute.
Impact Sabaly assisted Sebastian Berhalter for his third goal involvement of the season. The assist came from his only chance created of the game and he has created at least one chance in each of the last seven games. This is his fourth start in a row, but he hasn't played more than 68 minutes in these games.
MAY 15 • ROTOWIRE
Kenji Cabrera - Assists off the bench Cabrera assisted once to go with one shot (zero on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and two chances created in Wednesday's 3-2 victory versus FC Dallas. In addition, he was given a...
Impact Cabrera provided his second assist of the season while he still waits for his first start of the season. This was the first time that he has created more than one chance in a game this season. This was also only the second time this season that he has taken a shot when coming on as a sub.
MAY 15 • ROTOWIRE
Sebastian Berhalter - Scores twice in 3-2 win Berhalter scored two goals to go with four shots (two on goal), 10 crosses (three accurate) and six corners in Wednesday's 3-2 victory versus FC Dallas.
Impact Berhalter scored the first and third goals as his side went on to win 3-2 over FC Dallas. He has now scored six goals and provided four assists in his 12 games so far this season. He has scored three goals and provided one assist in his last three games. He has taken three or more shots in four of his last five games. He also created four chances in the game, his fourth time this season creating at least this number.
MAY 15 • ROTOWIRE
Yohei Takaoka - Makes one save in 3-2 win Takaoka made one save and allowed two goals in Wednesday's 3-2 victory versus FC Dallas.
Impact Takaoka made one save as he helped his side to a 3-2 win over FC Dallas. He has kept five clean sheets in 12 games so far this year, but hasn't kept one in the last four matches. This was just the second time this year that he has conceded more than one goal.

Andres Cubas - Knee issue forces late exit Cubas was forced off in the 87th minute of Wednesday's 3-2 win against Dallas after feeling something in his knee, according to coach Jesper Sorensen, per the Canadian Press News....
Impact Cubas had been impressive before the issue emerged, making five tackles and three interceptions in the Vancouver midfield, making his late exit a concern heading into the coming fixtures. The club will assess the extent of the knee problem over the coming days before providing any clarity on his availability, with Thomas Muller having come on to replace him after returning from his own illness absence. The club will take no risks with the Paraguay international with the World Cup looming in less than a month. Oliver Larraz could see more playing time for the Whitecaps if Cubas has to miss time.
MAY 13 • ROTOWIRE
Thomas Muller - On bench Wednesday Muller (illness) is on the bench for the midweek meeting with FC Dallas.
Impact Muller has made a gradual return to training over the past couple of weeks, and he's now expected to be involved as a substitute before moving into the initial lineup at some point in future contests. The former Bayern Munich star was in good form prior to his injury, as he generated multiple shots and chances created in four straight appearances while scoring two goals and assisting once over that period. His eventual inclusion in upcoming games could be in a No. 10 role at the expense of Jeevan Singh Badwal.
