On bench to face Timbers Ostrak (hamstring) is among the substitutes for Wednesday's match against Portland Timbers.

Impact Ostrak could feature again after being limited by several injuries during the 2026 season, with his return to the squad giving St. Louis a pivotal option who could rotate with Chris Durkin and Daniel Edelman going forward. The fit-again player can cover both attacking and defensive duties, making his fantasy value dependent on formation and how close to the opposing goal he ends up playing.

Impact Ostrak has been limited to just four appearances (one start) and 84 minutes this season. Hamstring injuries are tricky, so it wouldn't be shocking if St. Louis City SC take a cautious approach with the midfielder.

Doesn't train Ostrak is doubtful for Saturday's match against Colorado after he didn't train Thursday, according to Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Dispatch.

Impact Ostrak was not involved in training Thursday as the club sweats his fitness heading into Saturday, as he now appears to be doubtful. Luckily for the club, he has not appeared at all this campaign, so his absence wouldn't change much. He seems to have been struggling with injuries for most of the season, leaving a rough start to the campaign, as he started in 13 of his 23 appearances last season.

Features off bench Wednesday Ostrak (lower leg) came off the bench for 14 minutes in Wednesday's 4-0 US Open Cup win over FC Tulsa, marking his first competitive appearance of the 2026 season, the club posted.

Impact Ostrak had been sidelined since the offseason with a lower leg injury and was working his way back into the fold after returning to partial training in recent weeks. The 14-minute cameo is a positive first step in his reintegration, and he will look to build on that platform over the coming weeks before pushing to challenge Marcel Hartel and Cedric Teuchert for playing time in the MLS rotation.

Involved in limited training Ostrak (lower leg) has retuned to partial practice as he continues to recover from his injury, Matt Baker of Flyover Footy reports.

Impact Ostrak has yet to play in the 2026 campaign after picking up an injury in the offseason. However, the midfielder will likely aim to make his return and become an option at some point in April. He was a solid contributor of passes when given meaningful playing time, and he scored one goal and two assists over 23 MLS games played (13 starts) in 2025. He'll eventually challenge Marcel Hartel and Cedric Teuchert (ankle) for playing time.

Won't return yet Ostrak (lower leg) is still ruled out as manager Yoann Damet hopes to reintegrate him to the squad soon, Matt Baker of Flyover Footy reports.

Impact Ostrak will need more time to recover, missing his third game at the start of the campaign due to an offseason injury. The midfielder's absence will continue to reduce the team's depth while all of Marcel Hartel (personal), Eduard Lowen (personal) and Cedric Teuchert see their presence increased in the short term.

Will be reserved in preseason Ostrak is dealing with a leg injury and has been mentioned by coach Yoann Damet "you won't see too much of them in preseason.", Tom Timmermann of the St. Loius Post-Dispatch report...

Impact Ostrak may be excluded from the squad for most of the preseason and the start of the 2026 MLS season. Such event would weaken the squad's midfield depth, although he had not played a great role at the end of last year. Thus, elements like Marcel Hartel and Eduard Lowen should remain the top options in the central zone.

Two shots in loss Ostrak (undisclosed) attempted two shots to go with one chance created in Sunday's 3-2 loss against Houston, confirming he is fit for St. Louis City.

Impact Ostrak was forced off early in the game against the Whitecaps due to an injury that revealed to be minor since he started and played 59 minutes in Sunday's defeat against Houston. Comes off injured in loss Ostrak left Saturday's 3-2 loss to Vancouver Whitecaps due to a muscular issue.

Impact Ostrak recorded 57 minutes of play, winning eight of his 13 duels and making four tackles before his forced substitution. He'll be at risk of dropping out of the squad if he's dealing with a significant knock, but his status is still in doubt after the weekend match. Mykhi Joyner made a rare appearance in his place and could gain playing time if the regular starter is ruled out.

Impact Ostrak equalized with a right-footed finish and then set up Marcel Hartel's strike in the second half to put St. Louis up 2-1. The midfielder had a decent shift, creating one chance and making three tackles before exiting the game. His two goal contributions on the night were more than in his previous 17 appearances this season, when he had recorded only one assist. The goal was his first of the MLS season and he now has two league assists.

Substitute option Saturday Ostrak (lower body) is on the bench for the weekend's contest versus Houston Dynamo.

Impact Ostrak may not see significant action in this game, but his return strengthens the team's depth in a midfield line that is currently made up of Conrad Wallem, Marcel Hartel and Celio Pompeu. Whenever he's on the field, Ostrak could be valuable in terms of pass accuracy and tackling, though he hasn't been a regular offensive contributor recently.

Back in friendly Ostrak (ankle) returned during Wednesday's friendly with Salt Lake.

Impact Ostrak ended his 2024 with an ankle surgery, but is right back on track returning in pre-season action. The midfielder should be an option to kick off the 2025 campaign. In 2024 he was more of a depth option, making 12 appearances (eight starts) before his injury.

He will end the season making eight starts in 12 appearances, scoring once while recording 17 shots (five on target), 13 tackles (six won) and 10 interceptions. Njabulo Blom will be in line for a major role in the defensive midfield, playing alongside Chris Durkin for St Louis.

JUNE 6, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

Doesn't train Tuesday Ostrak was held out of training Tuesday ahead of Saturday's match against Miami, according to Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis post-dispatch.

Impact Ostrak appears to be in heavy doubt for Saturday's match, as he missed out on the club's last contest completely and is still not practicing, leading many to believe he will sit out once again. However, with a few more days to recover and train, he could see a rise in fitness, likely being a late call for the Miami tilt.

MAY 28, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

Fires in six shots Ostrak had six shots (one on goal), one cross (one accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 0-0 draw against FC Dallas.

Impact Ostrak saw a high volume of shots Saturday despite not finding the back of the net, firing in six during the draw. He did return to a starting role after falling to the bench last match and will look to continue in that role, as he has only started in three of his seven appearances on the team sheet this campaign.
