Departs RB Leipzig Kohler has departed RB Leipzig and joined VfB Stuttgart's U21 side on a permanent move, his former club announced.

Impact Kohler rose through the ranks of RB Leipzig's youth teams after joining the club in 2014. The 20-year-old appeared in several matchday squads for the senior team but never played for Leipzig. Last season, he gained valuable experience in the 3. Liga with SC Verl, making 26 appearances and scoring two goals in the Westphalia regional cup. As VfB Stuttgart's U21 side have already begun their third-division campaign, the defender will jump straight into action.

Signs pro contract with Leipzig Kohler signed a professional contract with Leipzig on Tuesday, as he will now remain with the club until 2026.

Impact Kohler will be keeping his talents in Leipzig for at least the next two years after signing his first professional contract on Tuesday. The defender signed a two-and-a-half-year contract, which will end after the 2025/26 campaign. The 18-year-old has featured in a couple of friendlies for the club so far but shouldn't be expected to be brought up to the first team until next season as the club prepares to keep him with the U19s for the remainder of the campaign.
