Impact Gauld has been sidelined since January following arthroscopic debridement surgery on his left knee, but getting back outside and building up his sessions is a genuine step forward in his recovery. The plan is to get one more session in Thursday before assessing the next stage, with an April return increasingly realistic if everything continues to progress as planned. When he does come back, Gauld will likely ease into a rotational role behind Brian White, Thomas Muller and Rayan Elloumi rather than being thrown straight back into the starting lineup.
