Could miss rest of season Fraser (strain) is in danger of missing the remainder of the 2021-22 season. Manager Eddie Howe told reporters, "Ryan (Fraser) has had his second scan and there's relatively good n...
Impact Based on the manager's comments, even if Fraser does get back onto the pitch this year, it figures to be for the final match or two. If this does mark the end of the forward's season, he will finish the year having registered two goals on 23 shots (seven on target), three assists, 87 crosses (33 accurate) and 28 corners, making him a solid fantasy target in season-long formats next year.

Set for another hamstring scan Fraser will undergo another hamstring scan this week, according to manager Eddie Howe. "I think we had an initial scan and two conflicting opinions, so I think we are rescanning it...
Impact It's not good news on Fraser, who seems likely to miss the next couple weeks with this appearing to be a regular hamstring injury. Miguel Almiron started against Leicester over the weekend, but Jacob Murphy could get the call up front against Crystal Palace unless Howe really wants to change things up.
APRIL 19, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Remains out Fraser is not in the match day squad to face Leciester City on Sunday.
Impact Fraser was a late test, but has not recovered in time to take part in Sunday's squad. The attacker's next chance comes in mid week action against Crystal Palace.
APRIL 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Late test for Sunday Fraser (muscular) is considered a late test for Sunday's match against Leicester City, according to manager Eddie Howe. "I don't think (Fraser's injury) is too bad, but it was enou...
Impact Fraser has a chance to start according to Howe, but that seems like a mistake if he's not completely 100 percent and dealing with a muscular problem. His absence would likely move Miguel Almiron or even Jacob Murphy back into the starting XI, though Newcastle don't have a hands-down replacement in the attack.
APRIL 15, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Leaves early Friday with injury Fraser was forced off in the 13th minute of Friday's match against Wolves with a likely muscle injury.
Impact It's a tough injury for Fraser, who was dealing with a hamstring issue last month but was thought to escape it, having gone a full 90 last weekend. He'll have almost 10 days to recover ahead of the next game, but if it's a muscle injury, it could keep him out longer with Miguel Almiron an option to start up front after coming on for Fraser on Friday.
APRIL 8, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Rests because of hamstring issue Fraser didn't start at Chelsea on Sunday because of a tight hamstring, according to manager Eddie Howe.
Impact While Fraser had a tight hamstring over the weekend, he was still thrown in for the final few minutes of that match with Newcastle down a goal. It's clearly not a bad issue and it's expected he'll be back in the XI Thursday at Everton.

Carries Newcastle to finish line Fraser scored once, assisted once, produced two shots (two on target), created one chance, sent six crosses (one accurate) and took two corners in the 2-1 victory against Brighton...
Impact Fraser was everything Newcastle has been needing offensively over the past five months. The defender now midfielder again has shined since he was moved up to a winger position in the 4-3-3 formation that Eddie Howe is using. In Fraser's last five appearances, he has two goals and two assists. He is also averaging, 2.0 shots, 2.0 created chances, 6.6 crosses, 2.8 corners and 0.4 tackles per 90 minutes in all competitions. Until his boot cools off, he is one of the best options the Magpies have to offer in terms of a solid floor and a respectable ceiling.

Assists at Brentford Fraser assisted one goal from seven chances created, took three shots (one on target), sent in 13 crosses (six accurate) and made two tackles (zero won) in Saturday's 2-0 win at Br...
Impact Fraser had a great perfomance, assisting Joelinton's opener in the first half to help them earn the road win. The midfielder also led his side in chances created and crosses, posting season-highs in both. He will now look to keep things rolling against Brighton on Saturday.
MARCH 2, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Good for Saturday Fraser (hamstring) is expected to be available for Saturday's match against Brentford, according to manager Eddie Howe. "And then you've got Ryan Fraser (who) will be okay. He came...
Impact Fraser has a couple days of training in him, so he should be fine to start Saturday. Getting to a full 90 may be a concern, something he's done just twice in his last six starts. No matter, he's starting matches in a forward position and has a split role on sets, so he'll always have some kind of fantasy value.
FEBRUARY 25, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Pictured in training Fraser was pictured in training Wednesday after leaving the last contest with a minor hamstring complaint.
Impact It's not a positive sign for Fraser, who has had injury problems in the past and had started the prior eight matches for Newcastle. If he and Allan Saint-Maximin both miss out Saturday at Brentford, Eddie Howe will have to tinker some things in his starting XI after Jacob Murphy came into the starting group at West Ham.
FEBRUARY 24, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Scores goal Tuesday Fraser scored a goal on four shots (one on target) against Everton on Tuesday.
Impact Fraser's goal gave Newcastle the lead in the match to complete the comeback from 1-0 down early. It was the first goal of the season for the midfielder and only his second goal over the past three years. As such, fantasy players probably shouldn't be banking on him producing in the offensive third with any regularity.

Suffers from cramping in win Fraser suffered from cramping and not an injury in Saturday's 1-0 win against Leeds, according to manager Eddie Howe. He finished with two shots not on target, four crosses and thr...
Impact Fraser went the full 90 Saturday, which was good to see going into the break and just the third time he's done so this season. He hasn't made the score-sheet in any of his nine starts, but he's been playing in the front three and that's at least producing opportunities to go with some set pieces.
JANUARY 25, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Logs four accurate crosses Fraser logged four accurate crosses during a 1-1 draw Saturday versus Watford.
Impact Fraser was Newcastle United's only player who logged three-plus accurate crosses. Three of his four counted as chances created, which he also had more than anybody else. Fraser will try to remain a prominent contributor concerning both statistical categories.
JANUARY 18, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Four crosses in draw Fraser sent in four crosses, none accurate, during Monday's 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
Impact Fraser did well to take his chances down the right flank, though he failed to have any meaningful end product. The midfielder will hope to bounce back moving forward with his chances giving him a somewhat usable fantasy floor. Next up is a Thursday clash with Everton.
DECEMBER 28, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Creates three chances in loss Fraser completed 12 passes but created three chances in Sunday's 4-0 defeat against Manchester City.
Impact Fraser was a threat with his passing on Sunday, but Newcastle couldn't break through into Man City's goal. His side has suffered three consecutive heavy defeats, and next weekend they face Manchester United, which are sixth in the Premier League currently.
DECEMBER 19, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Makes bench Sunday Fraser in the match day squad to face Leicester on Sunday.
Impact Fraser was a doubt in the buildup to the match due to a hamstring injury but has recovered in time to make the bench for Sunday's Premier League clash with Leicester.
DECEMBER 12, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Dealing with hamstring issue Fraser missed last weekend's match with a hamstring problem but is expected to be available for Sunday's trip to Leicester, according to manager Eddie Howe.
Impact Fraser was a surprise absence last week and there's no guarantee he'll be ready to start Sunday, as hamstring injuries are tricky. He had received back-to-back starts under Howe, but now he's battling an injury, which sours his fantasy viability for now.
DECEMBER 10, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Sets up assists Saturday Fraser was credited with an assist in Saturday's 3-3 draw between Newcastle and Brentford.
Impact The Scotland international showed his creativity and vision right when the team needed him the most, as he set up the team's third goal with a perfect cross that allowed Allan Saint-Maximin to score the equalizer deep into the second half. This was the Scotsman's first assist of the campaign.
NOVEMBER 22, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Pictured in full training Fraser has been pictured in full training this week despite pulling out of the Scotland national team last week, reports Lee Ryder of The Chronicle.
Impact Fraser started back-to-back matches at the end of October and then in the final game of Graeme Jones, he didn't appear in the Brighton draw. The rumor is that Fraser pulled out of Scotland to get an extra week of training in under new and former manager, Eddie Howe. There's a growing thought that Fraser could return to the role that saw him post seven goals and 13 assists in the 2018/19 season under Howe.
NOVEMBER 17, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Gets first start of season Fraser is in the starting XI for Saturday's match against Crystal Palace.
Impact With Steve Bruce gone, Fraser makes his first XI of the season in league play after appearing off the bench in five previous contests. He's been out of form for a couple years, but his quality is still enticing after producing seven goals and 13 assists for Bournemouth back in the 2018/19 campaign.
OCTOBER 23, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Available against Leeds Fraser (ankle) has trained all week and will be an option for Friday's match against Leeds, according to manager Steve Bruce.
Impact Fraser made a quick recovery from an ankle injury suffered over the break, but that doesn't mean he'll be in the starting XI Friday. He'll be an option off the bench and a matchup against Leeds seems kind of perfect for the way he plays, as there will be opportunities for crosses once he gets on the pitch.
SEPTEMBER 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Out with twisted ankle Fraser twisted his ankle over the international break and while it's not overly serious, he'll miss Saturday's trip to Man United, according to manager Steve Bruce.
Impact Fraser was seen in crutches over the break and this update is somewhat positive on his status going forward. Of course, he's played just 27 minutes in the first three matches and hasn't had much of a role for Newcastle.
SEPTEMBER 10, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Picks up possible foot injury Fraser has withdrawn from the Scotland national team and was seen in a protective boot leaving the team hotel, according to talkSPORT.
Impact Early reports had Fraser as a simple withdrawal from the team and this is the first update about a possible injury. Already a bench player for Newcastle, the oft-injured winger looks to face a bigger uphill battle if he wants minutes this season. He's played just 27 minutes through the first three matches after starting nine matches last campaign.
SEPTEMBER 6, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Sends in three crosses as sub Fraser played 23 minutes during Monday's 2-0 loss to Czech Republic, taking one off-target shot and sending in three inaccurate crosses.
Impact Fraser subbed on for Stuart Armstrong in the 67th minute, with his side trailing 2-0, and couldn't help them avoid the loss during his limited time in the field. The midfielder will now look to start when they face England on Friday.
