Austin decline option Austin have declined their contract option on Redes, thus making him a free agent, the club confirmed Friday.

Impact Redes showed glimpses of his quality here and there, but in the end, he struggled to make an impact for El Verde. The Paraguayan forward made just five starts and scored once, and perhaps even more importantly, he only logged one minute since the MLS campaign resumed following the end of the 2023 Leagues Cup. Redes will look for another team to continue his career, but a return to South America is not out of the question.
