Sent off against Liverpool Struijk was sent off in the 60th minute of Sunday's match against Liverpool.

Impact Struijk likely broke Harvey Elliott's leg in a tackle and was eventually shown the card once it was realized how severe the injury was. For violent conduct the punishment is a three-game ban, so Struijk wouldn't be back until Oct 16 at Southampton. Someone else will need to help shore up the defense as Diego Llorente also picked up a knock in Sunday's game.

Impact Struijk had a good defensive outing, but they couldn't find their first win of the season yet. The centerback also received his first yellow card of the season, though. He will now have a tougher matchup against Liverpool on Sep 12.

Impact Struijk played as more of a backup to Kalvin Phillips earlier in the season, but he soon found a role at center-back because of other injuries. It's unclear if he'll hold onto that role, but he was more of a bench option to begin the season and if everyone is healthy, there may not be a spot in the XI to open next season.
