PSG stars Mbappé, Neymar fired up as French league resumes

Paris Saint-Germain stars Kylian Mbappé and Neymar could take out their World Cup frustrations on struggling Strasbourg when the French league resumes on Wednesday
DECEMBER 27, 2022 • Associated Press
Danilo Pereira - Could feature Wednesday Danilo (ribs) was named in the 21-man squad for Wednesday's match versus Strasbourg.
Impact Danilo was initially expected to miss the game as he was still training individually Sunday but apparently he's made a massive progress over the final two trainings and gets the call here. That being said though, Parisians would likely be careful with him and ease him off the bench. Renato Sanchez and Presnel Kimpembe are both out which could see PSG go out with four-man back line with Nordi Mukiele slotting at right-back while Fabian Ruiz and Carlos Soler would fill in in the middle of the park.
DECEMBER 27, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Timothee Pembele - Nearing return from torn ACL Pembele (knee) is nearing a return and expected back in training this week.
Impact Pembele suffered a torn ACL in April and hasn't stepped on the pitch since then, so even if he's close to return to training he probably will need at least a few more weeks of training before bidding for a role in a game let alone starting.
DECEMBER 27, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Renato Sanches - Ruled out for one week Sanchez has suffered a muscle bruise and will miss the next two matches.
Impact Sanchez's issue isn't a major problem and he's expected back in training at the end of the week. With games coming up thick and fast though that'll force him to miss multiple matches. Fabian Ruiz and Carlos Soler should see heavy minutes during the former's absence.
DECEMBER 27, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Presnel Kimpembe - Ruled out for at least four weeks Kimpembe (achilles tendon) will continue his recovery for at least four more weeks.
Impact Kimpembe will alternate between receiving treatment and completing individualized training sessions as he recovers from tendinitis in his right Achilles tendon. That means more playing time for Nordi Mukiele and Danilo at center-back for the time being.
DECEMBER 27, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Lionel Messi - Will return to France in January Messi is still in Argentina and will be flying back to France on January 2, L'Equipe reports.
Impact Messi won the World Cup with Argentina and along with his advanced age PSG have decided to give him an extended break. He'll be spending the holidays with family back home and flying back to Paris on January 2. In his absence Pablo Sarabia and Hugo Ekitike could grab some starts this week.

Achraf Hakimi - Ready to feature Wednesday Hakimi (rest) has trained well Monday and will take part in Wednesday's match versus Strasbourg, L'Equipe reports.
Impact Hakimi, Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Marquinhos have all been in full swing this session and should all be available immediately in the restart. That being said though, there's still a chance that only some of them get starts and some of them get eased off the bench with those decisions likely coming up in the day of the game depending on the condition and the mood of each individual player. Another important factor is the massive clash with Lens approaching just days after the game with Strasbourg.

Marquinhos - Ready for Ligue 1 restart Marquinhos (rest) has trained well Monday and will take part in Wednesday's match versus Strasbourg, L'Equipe reports.
Impact Marquinhos, Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Achraf Hakimi have all been in full swing this session and should all be available immediately in the restart. That being said though, there's still a chance that only some of them get starts and some of them get eased off the bench with those decisions likely coming up in the day of the game depending on the condition and the mood of each individual player. Neymar - Set to feature versus Strasbourg Neymar (rest) has trained well Monday and will take part in Wednesday's match versus Strasbourg, L'Equipe reports.

Lionel Messi - Will miss Ligue 1 restart Messi is still in Argentina in extended break after the World Cup in Qatar and will miss the restart in Ligue 1, L'Equipe reports.
Impact Messi is spending the holidays back home with his family and it's still unclear when he'll be back in France. While not officially confirmed but he'll likely miss multiple games for PSG given the heavy holiday schedule. Pablo Sarabia and Hugo Ekitike could see heavier minutes over the next couple of weeks.
DECEMBER 26, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Fabian Ruiz - Probable for Ligue 1 restart Ruiz (muscle) wasn't included in the injury report and should be available for Wednesday's match versus Strasbourg, L'Equipe reports.
Impact Ruiz also took part in the final friendly before the restart last week and should be full go for the restart. If he's fit enough for he may have a good chance for a start even given a number of players in the squad just recently returned from Qatar.
DECEMBER 26, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Danilo Pereira - Ruled out versus Strasbourg Danilo (ribs) is still training individually Monday and will miss Wednesday's match versus Strasbourg, L'Equipe reports.
Impact Danilo is back on the pitch after all which would give him a chance to be present Sunday at least though given the importance of that game he'll likely be spared on the bench at best.

Achraf Hakimi - Returns from World Cup Hakimi returned to training Thursday and will be expected to be full go for Wednesday's match versus Strasbourg, L'Equipe reports.
Impact Hakimi, Neymar, Marquinhos and Kylian Mbappe are all back already after Qatar. They will all have a full week of training after small break and Parisians will head into the restart almost fully equipped which could increase each player's fantasy upside right away.

Danilo Pereira - Pictured in training Danilo (ribs) was training with the team ahead of Wednesday's clash with Strasbourg.
Impact Danilo's attendance at training is certainly a step in the right direction after being forward to leave the World Cup due to his rib injury. Injuries have plagued the defender this season, costing him three matches prior to heading out on international duty. Still, when fit Danilo should be in contention to feature in the starting XI and could offer decent value in formats that prioritize defensive stats.
