Nuno Mendes - Out for season with injury Mendes (hamstring) will miss the remainder of the campaign with the hamstring injury he suffered against Lorient last weekend, PSG announced Wednesday.
Impact Mendes' season is over after tearing a hamstring muscle in the loss to Lorient on Sunday, with Juan Bernat set to take over at left wing-back and El Chadaille Bitshiabu another option in the position if necessary. Mendes tallied two goals and five assists in 29 appearances (23 starts) across Ligue 1 and the Champions League, a significant increase in attacking production from 2021/22 (zero goals and one assist), and he doesn't turn 21 years old until the summer.

Lionel Messi - Suspended for two weeks by PSG Messi has been suspended for two weeks by PSG for taking a trip to Saudi Arabia without the club's permission, L'Equipe reports.
Impact Messi left for two days in Saudi Arabia without the club's agreement. The capital club took action. The Argentine has been suspended for two weeks by his club with immediate effect. He will not be able to play or train, and will not be paid during this fortnight. That sanction will force him to miss games versus Troyes and Ajaccio and could be back for the Auxerre affair on May 21. In his absence Hugo Ekitike could lead the line alongside Kylian Mbappe.
