Out with COVID-19 Mascarell missed Sunday's draw against Real Madrid while isolating with COVID-19, according to COPE Elche's Jeronimo Tormo.

Impact Mascarell had started 15 consecutive La Liga games dating back to September before he missed Sunday's game, but he will hope to be able to return to midfield in time for Elche's game against Alaves on Feb. 5.
