Impact Pope likely didn't want to spend the year playing in the Championship, instead making his way back to the Premier League with Newcastle. With his new club, Pope should be expected to compete with Martin Dubravka for the starting job. Last season, Pope started all 36 of his appearances for Burnley in which he registered nine clean sheets while conceding 47 goals.
