Back in squad Sunday Matic (hamstring) is on the bench for Sunday's match against Crystal Palace.

Impact This is a good sign for Matic, who missed the midweek match with a hamstring issue. He'll still have to fight for time under the new manager, but he's at least healthy and didn't suffer a major hamstring injury.

Impact Matic went the full 90 against Chelsea a few days ago, so it looks like he may have picked up the issue in training. Hamstring injuries can linger, so a prolonged absence could lead to more starts for Fred and Scott McTominay in the midfield, though the new manager may have other plans.

He has not seen much time this season though and even if he received a start, his production is little to none.

Impact Matic was handed only a few minutes to make something positive happen in the win Sunday. The midfielder did just that. Matic was brought onto the pitch in the 88th minute and by the 89th minute, he set up the game-winning goal. He has not been very productive in the last few years for the Red Devils and he seems to be on the bench more than the pitch. Until things change, this was more of an outlier and he will continue to not be an option.
