Luciano Acosta delivers for FC Cincinnati | Energy Moment of the Matchday | MLSSoccer.com Luciano Acosta has authored countless spectacular plays during his time with FC Cincinnati.
JUNE 20, 2024 MLSSOCCER.COM
Leon Maximilian Flach - Busy defensively Flach had three tackles (two won), two clearances and four interceptions in Wednesday's 4-3 defeat against FC Cincinnati.
Impact Flach was busy behind the ball throughout Wednesday's loss, he piled on the defensive volume but despite some solid play he couldn't do enough to earn the win. It's been a tough season for the defensive midfielder, as Philadelphia has generally underperformed. Still his play behind the ball keeps Flach going as a nice floor option, though he's not as much of a contributor going forward.

Oliver Semmle - Poor outing Wednesday Semmle had one save and allowed four goals in Wednesday's 4-3 defeat against FC Cincinnati.
Impact Semmle didn't have his best performance, but the issues are deeper than the fact that he allowed four goals. He could've done much better work in at least two of the strikes he conceded, as he was too slow to react to Kevin Kelsy's header, and he also had no business being so far away from his line in the spectacular goal from Luca Orellano. Still, Semmle should remain in the starting lineup since Andre Blake (knee) is on international duty with Jamaica for the 2024 Copa America.

Roman Celentano - Gives up three goals Wednesday Celentano registered two saves and allowed three goals in Wednesday's 4-3 victory versus Philadelphia Union.
Impact It's hard to blame Celentano for this performance since there was not much he could've done on the goals he conceded, but either way, giving up three goals won't do any favors for his fantasy stat line. Celentano will try to bounce back when Cincinnati takes on New England on Saturday, a matchup that figures to be more favorable on paper.
JUNE 20, 2024 ROTOWIRE
Luciano Acosta - Participates in three goals in win Acosta scored two goals and assisted once from six shots and four chances created in Wednesday's 4-3 victory against Philadelphia Union.
Impact Acosta set up Cincinnati's first goal with a perfect cross that was headed home by Kevin Kelsy, but he wasn't done with that sequence, as the league MVP bagged two goals as well -- one with a penalty in the 49th minute and another with a stoppage-time game-winner. Acosta is having another MVP-caliber campaign as the barometer of one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, and his impact goes well beyond the numbers, but he's recorded nine goals and 13 assists across 18 appearances (17 starts).
JUNE 20, 2024 ROTOWIRE
Yamil Asad - Assists game-winning goal Asad assisted once to go with zero corners and one chance created in Wednesday's 4-3 victory over Philadelphia Union.
Impact Asad assisted Luciano Acosta's game-winning goal on stoppage time, but he didn't do much else in a game where he came off the bench. His role limits his fantasy upside in most formats. He has two assists on the season, but both have come in appearances off the bench since he's yet to make a start in 2024.
