Transfers to Columbus Degenek has signed a two-year contract with the Crew with the option to extend for an additional two years after transferring from Red Star Belgrade, the club announced Monday.

Impact Degenek has spent time in the 2 Bundesliga, the Japanese J1 League, the Saudi Professional League and most recently the Serbian Super League with Red Star, and the 27-year-old is now moving to MLS with Columbus. He will be challenging Jonathan Mensah and Josh Williams for a starting spot in central defense.
