Could return Sunday
Antonio is training ahead of Sunday's clash with Bristol City, according to assistant manager Billy McKinlay. "Vladimir Coufal, Kurt Zouma, Lucas Paqueta and Michail Antonio are be...
Impact
Antonio is still in training and is working his way back from a knee injury. There's a chance the forward could play in some capacity Sunday but that would require a full return to training ahead of that match. Even if he trains fully it seems more likely that Antonio would test his fitness off the bench first.

Ruled out Thursday
Antonio (knee) will not be an option versus Arsenal on Thursday. Manager David Moyes told reporters, "Michail Antonio isn't ready yet."
Impact
Antonio will be sidelined for his ninth consecutive contest due to his lingering knee problem. At this point, the forward should be considered a doubt heading into a clash with Brighton on Jan. 2. Once cleared to return, Antonio should be in contention for a spot in the starting XI considering he featured in 11 of his 14 appearances for the club this season.

Returns to training on grass
Antonio (knee) is improving on his rehabilitation, as he has now started to train on grass, according to manager David Moyes. "Mick's improving. He's on the grass. He's doing some...
Impact
Antonio continues to make decent progress on his return to play, finally returning to the club's training grounds after a month out. The forward will most likely be set up for a return after the winter break, getting his first chance of action against Sheffield on Jan. 21. However, if everything goes very well over this next week, he could return for the club's first match of the new year against Brighton on Jan. 2 as a possible bench option but will almost definitely be out for their two contests in the next week against Manchester United and Arsenal.

Remains out versus Spurs
Antonio (knee) will not be an option against Tottenham on Thursday. Manager David Moyes told reporters, "There is no Antonio, he's not back fit yet."
Impact
Given the short week, Antonio probably shouldn't be expected back in time to face Fulham on Sunday. The forward has already missed three matches due to his knee problem and looks poised to be out of action for another pair of contests. Antonio will have to wait a little longer to break out of his current 11-match goal drought dating back to Aug. 26 versus Brighton.

Impact
Antonio will aim to return before the conclusion of the year after picking up a knee injury while with the Jamaican national team. He's scored and assisted twice in 12 matches, 11 of them coming as starts. While sidelined, either Danny Ings or Mohammed Kudus could see more playing time, especially with Jarrod Bowen picking up a knee injury with the English national team.

Injures knee with Jamaica
Antonio suffered knee ligament damage after going only 20 minutes in Saturday's match against Canada, reports Evening Standard.
Impact
Antonio unfortunately fell prey to what was a delayed match because of a waterlogged pitch. Early reports don't sound great, as he could be out months and not weeks. While he was already benched prior to the break, his absence would remove some of West Ham's attacking depth, though it was likely leave for more minutes to Mohammed Kudus and Danny Ings.

Logs assist versus Brentford
Antonio made an assist, had one off-target shot, created two chances and drew two fouls during Saturday's 3-2 loss against Brentford.
Impact
Antonio was once again slowed down by opposing center-backs but this time he found a way to make the difference away from the box, assisting Mohammed Kudus for his side's first goal with a cross from the left flank. This was the second assist of the season for the striker, who's scoreless since opening the campaign with two goals in three matches.

Leading the line Sunday
Antonio is fit and in the starting XI for Sunday's match against Newcastle.
Impact
Antonio has recovered from a groin injury which kept him out of mid week action against Freiburg. The forward will lead the line for West Ham on Sunday having scored twice and provided an assist in eight appearances.

Doubt to face Newcastle
Antonio (groin) has yet to train with the team this week ahead of Sunday's match against Newcastle, according to manager David Moyes. "He has done some running with the medical tea...
Impact
Antonio wasn't with the team in Germany, so he couldn't train with the team, so this isn't much of a new update on him. There's a chance he's completely fine and trains the next two days, but that's hard to project given the comments from Moyes. If Antonio can't start Sunday, it could again be Jarrod Bowen as a false nine with Mohammed Kudus on the right wing instead of swapping in Danny Ings as the striker.

Ruled out versus Freiburg
Antonio is dealing with an undisclosed injury that will sideline him versus SC Freiburg on Thursday. Manager David Moyes told reporters, "Michail hasn't traveled. He has an injury....
Impact
It's hardly the most informative update on Antonio's status, so fantasy players should probably consider him a doubt, at best, to play against Newcastle United on Sunday. The forward has started seven of his eight appearances for the club this season, in which he recorded two goals on nine shots (four on target), one assist and six crosses (zero accurate), but was left on the bench for the previous UEL matchup. As such, Antonio may not have started Thursday's matchup regardless. Danny Ings figures to be in line for Antonio's spot in the starting XI if needed.

Provides assist in win
Antonio assisted once to go with one shot (zero on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and two chances created in Saturday's 2-0 win versus Sheffield United.
Impact
Antonio recorded his first assist of the season in the 37th minute as he received the ball on the edge of the box and set up Tomas Soucek with a through ball. In addition to his assist, the forward achieved a new season-high with two chances created. However, he has now failed to record a shot on target in his last four Premier League matches.

Scores again
Antonio scored one goal to go with three shots (two on goal) and one chance created in Saturday's 3-1 victory versus Brighton.
Impact
Antonio scored for the second consecutive game and his two goals on the season already puts him on pace to reach his Premier-League best of 10 goals in a season. Antonio got to work early in the match with his team's first shot on goal in the sixth minute and his breakthrough came in the 63rd minute, giving his squad a three-goal lead, which was enough of a cushion to cruise the rest of the way.

Impact
Antonio was the backup option to Gianluca Scamacca for much of the first half of the campaign, but he took over as the first choice striker once the Italian went down with a knee injury in mid-January. The 33-year-old Antonio was especially effective in the UECL as West Ham won its first trophy since 1980, but he'll have to fight to keep his spot in the XI next season with Scamacca returning to fitness and Danny Ings in the mix as well.

Active in win
Antonio played 85 minutes and created three chances during Thursday's 1-0 win over AZ Alkmaar.
Impact
Antonio returned to the starting XI in the Conference League after missing a Premier League clash due to a calf injury. The forward appeared fully fit and good to go, nearly coming away with a pair of goal contributions. Antonio will likely be straight back in the starting XI for the final two Premier League matches and the Conference League final.

Picks up knock midweek
Antonio scored and then suffered a knock in Thursday's UECL match against AZ Alkmaar, according to manager David Moyes. "We will assess him but he should be good for Sunday."
Impact
Antonio made it 79 minutes Thursday and with West Ham fairly safe from relegation, it may be Danny Ings who gets the start Sunday. Antonio has won back the starting job the last month-plus but may come off the bench in league play, depending on the severity of knock suffered Thursday.
