Ruled out for Salernitana match Bourabia (calf) was omitted from Spezia's squad list to face Salernitana Saturday.
Impact Bourabia is nursing a calf pull and will likely sit out a few more games. Spezia will lean on Giulio Maggiore, Viktor Kovalenko and Aiman Sher in the midfield for the time being.

Diagnosed with calf problem Bourabia has sustained a pull of one of the muscles in the left calf, Spezia announced.
Impact Bourabia was a late scratch for the past game and will try to shake off the ailment during the break. Spezia will be hoping one of their injured midfielders return during the break otherwise they will have to go again with makeshift formation.

Ruled out for Verona game Bourabia (undisclosed) was a late scratch for Sunday's game against Verona, Spezia announced.
Impact Bourabia picked up a last-minute physical problem and will be unable to play in this one. Spezia have multiple midfielders on the mend, therefore they will have to either trust youngster Aiman Sher or adapt somebody out of position.
OCTOBER 3, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Works hard against Juventus Bourabia sent in one inaccurate cross, had three blocks and five clearances and won five duels in Wednesday's 2-3 loss to Juventus.
Impact Bourabia drew his first start after deciding the last game in the final minutes and had a respectable performance in the midfield. He will likely split time with Jacopo Sala going forward. He has notched three crosses, three tackles and six clearances in three appearances. Spezia will face Milan at home Saturday.
SEPTEMBER 23, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Scores first goal of season Bourabia scored once, took one shot (one on target) and made one tackle (none won) during the 2-1 win over Venezia on Sunday.
Impact Bourabia was brought on for fresh legs at the end of the match and it wasn't until the final seconds that he scored the game-winning goal. It was a well-earned goal as well. The midfielder dribbled the ball up the pitch and he took a swift strike sending it to the top corner. Outside of the goal, he has yet to make a dent in the team this season with minimal production.
SEPTEMBER 20, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Transfers to Spezia Bourabia has joined Spezia on a season-long loan with obligation to buy, Sassuolo announced.
Impact Bourabia played just 15 matches last season (four starts) in the past campaign, tallying nine shots, six tackles and 12 interceptions and scoring once. He should see a steady uptick in playing time at Spezia since they have little depth in the midfield.
AUGUST 30, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Remains shelved Bourabia (undisclosed) did not make Sassuolo's squad list to face Sampdoria Sunday.
Impact Bourabia will miss the second game in a row after picking up a last-minute problem last week. He is also in talks to leave the club, which may have been a factor. Sassuolo are a little deeper in the midfield since Matheus Henrique is available, on top of Davide Frattesi, Maxime Lopez and Francesco Magnanelli.
AUGUST 28, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Will miss Verona game Bourabia will not be able to play Saturday due to "a minor problem" he picked up during the week, coach Alessio Dionisi informed.
Impact Bourabia is out for the opener because of an undisclosed issue. The coach did not elaborate on it but indicated that he could be back in time for the second game. With Pedro Obiang (pneumonia) also sidelined, Maxime Lopez, Matheus Henrique and Davide Frattesi will be the top options in the midfield for Sassuolo.
