Decent first season in LA Zanka provided one assist and logged in 1,349 minutes in 17 MLS appearances in 2025.

Impact Zanka started 16 of his 17 appearances this season in the MLS as a solid third center-back in the rotation and contributed with 27 tackles, 11 interceptions and 76 clearances. He is expected to hold a similar role heading into the 2026 season with the Galaxy.

Bench option versus Cincinnati Zanka (lower body) is on the bench Saturday against Cincinnati.

Impact Zanka strengthens his side's defensive depth for the final regular-season fixtures after missing the previous match with a slight physical issue. This is something to watch for the club, as he is a starter in the middle of the defense. That will leave Mauricio Cuevas as a possible starter if Zanka is out, with injuries plaguing the defense.

Luckily for him, the Galaxy found a way to earn a draw despite playing with 10 men for the majority of the match. Assists equalizer Sunday Zanka assisted once to go with zero corners and one chance created in Sunday's 1-1 draw versus Portland Timbers.

Impact Zanka set up Christian Ramirez's goal in the 81st minute Sunday, a strike which tied the match at 1-1 and earned the Galaxy its first point of the season. It marked Zanka's first goal contribution of the season and his first chance created. Jorgensen's extensive experience and leadership will aim to strengthen the squad's defense for the 2025 season.
