Recovering in Denmark Andersen (calf) is recovering with a specialist in Denmark, Luton Town confirmed.
Impact Andersen has been away from the Luton Town team while working to recover from the serious calf injury. The defender has been working back home in Denmark and is reportedly making progress as expected. There's still some doubt if Andersen will be back in the team before the end of the season.
MARCH 8, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Out once again Anderson (calf) is out for Wednesday's contest against Liverpool.
Impact Anderson is missing his seventh straight match Wednesday after still not recovering from a calf issue. This is a brutal run for the defender, as he is now missing his 15th match this season due to injury. He will hope to put his injury concerns behind him next game and get on the team sheet to face Aston Villa next Sunday, most likely residing on the bench if selected after such a long absence.
FEBRUARY 21, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Out for FA Cup clash Anderson will not be available for the club's FA Cup match against Bolton on Tuesday, having gone down with a calf injury, according to the club.
Impact Anderson is back on the injury report once again, having gone down with a calf injury ahead of the club's FA Cup match against Bolton. The defender will hope for only a minor knock only and to return to full health soon, as he has already missed eight contests this season due to a hamstring issue. Luckily for Luton, his absence shouldn't affect the squad too much, as since he has returned from the hamstring injury, he has only appeared in two of the four matches he has been available for, with both of those appearances coming off of the bench. Expect Amari'i Bell, Tenden Mengi and Gabriel Osho to remain the three-back pairing while Anderson is out and attempts to reach full fitness for the first time in around two months.
JANUARY 16, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Ready to go Andersen has returned to the bench for recent matches following a two-month absence with a hamstring injury.
Impact Andersen got a decent bit of run early in the season, but he was eventually benched and was only in a bench role prior to injury. However, given the unknown status of Tom Lockyer and the injury to Reece Burke, Andersen could find himself into the starting XI over the holiday period with him and Gabriel Osho likely to compete for minutes.
DECEMBER 18, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Active with U21 Andersen played 60 minutes during Luton's 2-1 loss to Chelsea U21.
Impact Andersen got 60 minutes of playing time during the 2-1 loss as he continues to make his way back from a serious hamstring injury. He isn't likely to return before the winter break but any sort of run is a positive update for the defender.
DECEMBER 12, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Out multiple months Andersen (hamstring) is set for multiple months on the sideline with a hamstring, according to manager Rob Edwards.
Impact Andersen won't appear again in 2023, ruling him out for at least two months. With this sort of muscular issue there's no definite timeline for a return so it's possible he could miss a portion of 2024 as well. Teden Mengi should be in line for a more significant role in the starting XI with Andersen recovering on the sideline.
OCTOBER 20, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Off with hamstring injury Andersen was forced off in the second half of Saturday's match against Tottenham with a hamstring injury.
Impact Andersen left the match in the 59th minute, being replaced by Teden Mengi. Andersen will have two weeks to recover during the international break ahead of Luton's next match against Nottingham Forest.
OCTOBER 7, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Scores in road loss Andersen scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) and made six clearances in Friday's 2-1 defeat to West Ham United.
Impact Andersen scored in the 92nd minute to cut West Ham's lead to 2-1, but it was too late to avoid the road loss. That was his first goal in the season. The centerback also led his side in clearances during the match.
SEPTEMBER 4, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Joins newly promoted side Andersen will join Luton Town on a permanent transfer from Barnsley, the club announced Monday.
Impact Andersen has made 112 Championship appearances but will finally get his chance to play in the Premier League with Luton Town. With Barnsley last season, the defender logged 51 appearances across all competitions, registered two goals, one assists and 12 yellow cards.
