Ruled out against Schalke Stindl (thigh) will miss Saturday's clash against FC Schalke, Monchengladbach manager Daniel Farke announced Thursday.

Impact Stindl missed last weekend's Bundesliga-opening win over Hoffenheim with a thigh injury he picked up in the DFB-Pokal the weekend prior, and he has been ruled out once again for Saturday's match. Florian Neuhaus could continue up in attacking midfield until Stindl is fit enough to return.

Picks up thigh injury Stindl suffered a left thigh injury during Sunday's DFB Pokal match against Overachern, his club announced Monday.

Impact Stindl is now likely to miss the start of the season against Hoffenheim after scoring once and assisting three times in a 9-1 rout during Sunday's game. Patrick Herrmann could take Stindl's place in the lineup until he can return.

Stindl isn't getting any younger but his talent is undeniable and it's entirely possible he plays a major role for Gladbach once more in 2022/23.
